SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — The final chapter in the 2013 racing season at South Boston Speedway will be played out Saturday night when America’s Hometown Track hosts the GCR presents Spaulding Equipment Night 150 racing program.

Pulliam has posted 15 victories at South Boston Speedway this season. Pulliam has 26 overall victories for the campaign.

The chase for second place in the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division at America’s Hometown Track is quite close as second-place Bobby McCarty only leads third-place Austin Thaxton by four points.

Bruce Anderson is fourth in the standings and is only 10 points ahead of fifth-place Ronald Hill.

Also scheduled on Sept. 15 is a race for the Limited Sportsman Division, a clash for the drivers in the Budweiser Pure Stock Division, a battle for the Modified Division and an event for the competitors in the touring Legendary Flathead Ford Racing Association.

Danny Willis Jr. has locked up the championship in the Limited Sportsman Division; however, there is a tight battle for second in the standings between Garrett Bunch, Michael Maresca and Blake Stallings.

Bunch is currently second. He leads Maresca by only five points. Stallings is fourth in the standings and only trails Maresca by seven points.

In the Budweiser Pure Stock Division, Joe Allred owns a comfortable 43 point lead over Stuart Crews in the chase for the championship. Austin Milam is third in the standings and Randy Hupp is fourth.

Pit registration for the GCR presents Spaulding Equipment Night 150 racing program will begin at 1 p.m. on Sept. 14. Practice for all divisions will be held from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. and qualifying time trials will get underway at 5:30 p.m. Grandstand gates will open at 5 p.m. and admission will be $10 for adults and children under the age of six will be admitted free with a paid adult.
