Gift certificates, season tickets on sale for 2013 season at South Boston Speedway
SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — Believe it or not, Christmas is less than two months away. In addition to Christmas closing in fast, the 2013 racing campaign at South Boston Speedway is just over four months away.

Season tickets, priced at only $150 are currently on sale and would make ideal Christmas gifts for the race fan on your list. The season ticket covers the admission price for all 18 events at America’s Hometown Track in the coming season.
In addition to season tickets being on sale, South Boston Speedway is also offering gift certificates in any price increments. The gift certificates would also make ideal stocking stuffers for the holiday season.
After completing a banner NASCAR Whelen All American Series schedule in 2012, South Boston Speedway is already gearing up and making plans for a bigger and better campaign in 2013.
The 2013 South Boston Speedway schedule has been announced and includes 18 events at the four-tenths mile asphalt oval.
The 2013 season at America’s Hometown Track will get kicked off on Saturday, March 9, with the running of the Danville Toyota NASCAR Whelen Late Model Twin 100’s racing program.
That season-opening event will also feature action for the Limited Sportsman Division and the Budweiser Pure Stock Division. The first three NASCAR Whelen All American Series events of the 2013 campaign will feature afternoon starts.
In addition to NASCAR Whelen All American Series events for the Late Model Stock Car Division, Limited Sportsman Division and Budweiser Pure Stock Division, a host of special events are planned at the historic four-tenths mile asphalt oval in 2013.
South Boston Speedway will host the touring PASS Super Late Model Series for three events in 2013. Those events are scheduled on May 11, June 8, and Aug. 17. All three of those events will also feature twin races for the competitors in the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division.
The annual 200-lap NASCAR Whelen Late Model Stock Car race and the annual Fireworks Extravaganza will be held on July 3. That event will also feature a 100-lap race for the Limited Sportsman Division and a 50-lap race for the Budweiser Pure Stock Division.
The NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour will visit the historic four-tenths mile asphalt oval on Saturday, April 13. That event will also feature twin races for the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division.
South Boston Speedway officials also announced plans to have a return visit of the popular Monster Truck Show in 2013. That event, which will feature fireworks, is slated for Sept. 21. It is included on the schedule in addition to the 17 racing events next year.
