USARacing Pro Cup Series 250 presented by slated Saturday at SoBo

SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — America's Hometown Track will, once again, be the familiar scene for the touring USARacing Pro Cup Series this weekend.

The USARacing Pro Cup Series, formerly known as the Hooters Pro Cup Series, will compete at the four-tenths mile South Boston Speedway for the 21st time in its history. And, Saturday's event promises to be as competitive as the prior performances.

The green flag will drop for the touring Allison Legacy Series drivers at 7 p.m. and will be followed by the USARacing Pro Cup Series 250-lap race.

One of the USARacing competitors to keep an eye on this weekend at South Boston Speedway in the USARacing Pro Cup Series 250 presented by is Jeff Agnew.

Agnew has competed in 17 USARacing Pro Series events at South Boston Speedway through the years and has recorded one victory and eight top-five finishes.

Another to watch will be A.J. Frank, who has yet to score a USARacing Pro Cup Series triumph, but is always a contender for a win.

Roxboro, N.C. natives Matt Lofton and Craig Moore are also expected in the field Saturday night and both have a wealth of knowledge of racing on South Boston Speedway to rely on.

Advance tickets for Saturday's racing action are on sale for $15 and can be purchased through 5 p.m. Friday at the speedway office. Adult tickets on the day of the race will be priced at $20. Tickets for youth ages 7-12 are $10 and children six and under are admitted free with a paid adult.

Alternating practice for the USARacing Pro Cup Series competitors and the Allison Legacy drivers will be held from noon until 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Grandstand gates will open at 3 p.m. with qualifying for the Allison Legacy Series set to roll off at 3:30 p.m. The USARacing Pro Cup Series time trials will get cranked up at 4:45 p.m.

Prior to racing action, Matt Dylan will treat fans to a concert during a Fan Appreciation Session held trackside. During the Fan Appreciation Sessions, fans can obtain autographs and photos from 5:45 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
