NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, Whelen Southern Modified Tour to run at SoBo April 16
SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — South Boston Speedway will return to action on Saturday, April 16, with a special doubleheader planned.
America's Hometown Track will host the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour 150 and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series 150 in racing action on April 16. The green flag for the first event of the day will fly at 7 p.m.
In addition to seeing door-to-door racing on the four-tenths mile asphalt oval, fans will have an opportunity to meet Burt and Jason Meyers, along with Tim Brown and Chase Elliott before they hit the track for action that evening.
Fans will also have an opportunity to participate in a pre-race Fan Appreciation Session, which will be held trackside prior to the 7 p.m. starting time of racing action.
Advance tickets are currently on sale and priced at $15 for adults. The ticket price on the day of the race will be $20.
The competitors in the NASCAR K&N Pro Cup Series and the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Series will begin arriving at South Boston Speedway on Friday, April 15. Practice for the two divisions will begin Saturday, April 16, at 11:15 a.m.
Grandstand gates will open on Saturday, April 16, at 3 p.m. and qualifying for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour will begin at 3:45 p.m. Qualifying for the NASCAR K&N Pro Cup Series is scheduled to commence at 4:30 p.m.
The Fan Appreciation Session will be held from 5:15 p.m. until 6:15 p.m.
The NASCAR K&N Pro Cup Series race will start the evening of action off at 7 p.m. and will be followed by the 150-lap event for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour.
