Season tickets for South Boston Speedway's 2011 season remain on sale
SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — The green flag will fly to signal the start of the 2011 racing season at South Boston Speedway on Saturday, March 12, and there is still time to purchase season tickets for the action-packed campaign.
The 2011 schedule at South Boston Speedway includes 19 events and season tickets for all of the events are on sale and priced at just $150.
The first two events of the 2011 campaign — March 12 and March 26 — will feature afternoon starting times of 2 p.m. The first race under the lights at the historic four-tenths mile asphalt oval will begin at 7 p.m. on April 2.
South Boston Speedway will, once again, host its annual Independence Day celebration during the 2011 season on July 1. That event will feature a 200-lap NASCAR Whelen Late Model Stock Car Division race, along with a 100-lap Limited Sportsman event, a 50-lap Budweiser Pure Stock clash and the track's annual Fireworks Extravaganza.
Other special events on the 2011 South Boston Speedway schedule include two appearances by the touring PASS Super Late Models on May 7 and Aug. 20, an April 16 doubleheader featuring the NASCAR K&N Pro Series and the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour, and the USARacing Pro Cup Series will return on June 11.

South Boston Speedway's annual Open Practice and Media Day will be held one week prior to the start of the new season on Saturday, March 5. Practice will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. The event is open to the public and no admission will be charged.
