Top Late Model Stock Car drivers eyeing $10,000 prize in Danville Toyota 300
SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — South Boston Speedway is known for its fierce competition.
The level of competition will become even more intense on Saturday, Oct. 16, when the green flag waves at 3 p.m. for the start of the Danville Toyota Late Model 300.
The best of the best NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division drivers are expected to flood into South Boston Speedway for the Danville Toyota Late Model 300. The winner of the star-studded event will take home a $10,000 paycheck, the richest of the season at the four-tenths mile asphalt oval.
Early registration and parking for the Danville Toyota Late Model 300 will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14. Late registration and hauler parking will continue on Friday, Oct. 15 at 7 a.m.
A two-hour practice session from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. will be held on Friday, Oct. 15. Followed by qualifying time trials that will get cranked up at 4 p.m. and will lock in the top 15 positions for the Danville Toyota Late Model 300. Grandstands will be open Friday to the public free of charge.
Grandstand gates will open at 11 a.m. Saturday and the remainder of the field for the Danville Toyota Late Model 300 will be set at the close of 25-lap qualifying races, which are slated to get cranked up at noon on Saturday, Oct. 16.
A Fan Appreciation and Autograph Session will be held prior to the start of the Danville Toyota Late Model 300. The on-track autograph session is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Advance tickets for the Danville Toyota Late Model 300 are currently on sale and priced at $15. Advance tickets can be purchased through Friday, Oct. 15. Adult tickets on race day will be priced at $20. Youth, ages 7-12, will be admitted for $10 with a paying adult and children, ages 6 and under, will be admitted free with a paying adult.
