SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — The stars and cars of the PASS Super Late Model Series will invade South Boston Speedway Saturday for the running of the PASS Super Late Model 150.

The four-event race program will get the green flag at 7 p.m. In addition to 150 laps of racing action for the PASS Super Late Model Series, fans will also be treated to a pair of 75-lap races for the drivers in the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division and a 75-lap event for the touring Rolling Thunder Modified Series.

According to information on the PASS Super Late Model Series Web page, two-time winner Preston Peltier of Concord, N.C. is the current points leader in the Southern Division of the PASS Super Late Model Series.

Ryan Blaney of High Point, N.C., a three-time winner in 2010, is second in the standings and is just 12 points out of the lead. Blaney is only eight points ahead of third-place Andy Loden of Stanley, N.C., who also has three wins for the season. Jay Fogleman of Durham, N.C., who has two top-five finishes for the campaign, is fourth in the standings.

Those drivers and many more PASS Super Late Model competitors are expected to be on hand for Saturday's racing action.

Justin Johnson will be looking to lock up his second consecutive NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division championship Saturday evening.

Johnson, who has reeled off nine wins in 2010, will enter the twin 75-lappers with a 110-point advantage over second-place Stacy Puryear. Lee Pulliam is third in the standings, while Deac McCaskill and David Latour round out the top five competitors in the standings.

Practice for the three divisions competing Saturday will begin at 2 p.m. and conclude just after 4 p.m. Grandstand gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and qualifying time trials will roll off at 4:45 p.m.

All fans will be able to meet their favorite drivers and have a chance to get autographs at a special Fan Appreciation Session held trackside after qualifying Saturday.
