SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — South Boston Speedway's next racing action is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 28, and will feature four action packed events.

Highlighting the PASS Super Late Model 150 racing program will be a 150-lap event for the competitors in the touring PASS Super Late Model Series. Also scheduled for action on Aug. 28 will be the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division in twin 75-lap races and an event for the Rolling Thunder Modified Series in 75 laps.

The first of the four races will get the green flag at 7 p.m. Grandstand gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and a pre-race Fan Appreciation Session will be held trackside for fans to meet and greet their favorite competitors.

In the chase for the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division championship, defending champion Justin Johnson will be looking to clinch his second straight crown on Aug. 28 at the conclusion of the twin 75-lap events.

Johnson will enter the twin races with a 110-point cushion over second-place Stacy Puryear after scoring his ninth victory of the season last weekend at America's Hometown Track.

Puryear is 28 points ahead of third-place Lee Pulliam, while Deac McCaskill is fourth and trails Pulliam by 10 points. David Latour rounds out the top five competitors in the championship chase. He is 15 points behind McCaskill.

The rain date for the PASS Late Model 150 will be Sunday, Aug. 29.

Advance tickets are on sale for $10. Tickets on the day of the race will be $15.
