Fierce competition under the lights slated at South Boston Speedway on Saturday, April 17

SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — If the first two NASCAR Whelen All American Series race days of the season are any indication, the competition level is going to be fierce in all divisions in 2010 at South Boston Speedway.

Thus far in 2010, there have been two races in the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division, the Limited Sportsman Division and the Budweiser Pure Stock Division. And, there have been two winners in all three divisions thus far this year as well.

All three divisions will return to action Saturday night, April 17, when America's Hometown Track will host the NASCAR Whelen All American Series Late Model Twin 75s race program.

The event will be the first race under the lights this season at the four-tenths mile asphalt oval and will get cranked up at 7 p.m. The featured attraction of the evening will be a pair of 75-lap events for the drivers in the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division.

Justin Johnson and Tommy Lemons have each visited Victory Lane in Late Model Stock Car racing action this season.

Also slated on April 17 will be events for the Limited Sportsman Division and the Budweiser Pure Stock Division.

Justin Snow and Tommy Peregoy have each posted wins this year in Limited Sportsman Division action, while Jarrett Milam and Randy Hupp have notched victories in the Budweiser Pure Stock ranks.
