Green flag will drop for 2007 season at South Boston Speedway in less than two months
SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — You wouldn't know it with the recent cold blast, but the racing season at America's Hometown Track will get cracked up in less than two months.
South Boston Speedway's 50th anniversary season will get underway on Saturday, March 24. Twenty-one events are on the schedule for the upcoming season at South Boston Speedway.
In addition to the track's regular divisions of racing, several special events are also slated including a pair of visits from the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series, the NASCAR Grand National Division Busch East Series, the annual Bailey's 200 NASCAR Whelen Weekly Series Late Model Stock Car event to celebrate Independence Day and the season-ending SoBo 300 Late Model Stock Car event.
The start of the season may be fast approaching, however, it is still not too late to purchase season tickets for the upcoming season. Race fans can purchase season tickets, good for all events in 2007, for $175. A season ticket pass for youth, ages 10-15, is available for the 2007 season at a cost of $99.
In addition to season tickets, tailgating spots are, once again, available for the 2007 racing season at South Boston Speedway. Spaces are available for the entire season or on a weekly basis.
The tailgating area will be open for cars and trucks. Grills and unlimited size coolers will be available in the tailgating area. The tailgating area will open when registration begins for competitors on race days.
Tailgating passes good for the entire season are priced at $285.
