SoBo's famous fireworks show will cap off Bailey's 200 racing action on Monday, July 3

SOUTH BOSTON, VA. – "This one is going to be the best."

South Boston Speedway General Manager Cathy Rice said that when describing the fireworks extravaganza that will put the finishing touches on the Bailey's 200 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series race program at America's Hometown Track.

The Bailey's 200 is scheduled for a green-flag start at 8 p.m. on Monday, July 3. The fireworks extravaganza will close out the night of racing, which will feature action for the Barkhouser Late Model Stock Car Division, the Limited Sportsman Division and the Budweiser Pure Stock Division.

The Late Model Stock Car Division will highlight the evening with a 200-lap shootout on the four-tenths mile asphalt oval. The Limited Sportsman Division competitors will battle it out in a 100-lap race event, while the Pure Stock Division drivers will take to the asphalt for a 75-lap race.

"We are very excited about the Bailey's 200," Rice said. "We are looking forward to a great night of racing with some of the best drivers in the region expected to be on hand at South Boston.

'And, we are especially excited about the fireworks show that will close out the night," Rice added. "This will be the biggest and best fireworks show that we have ever hosted and everyone knows South Boston Speedway is known for its fireworks shows every year."

Advance tickets for the evening are available at the speedway office for the special price of $10 through 5 p.m. on Friday, June 30. Tickets on the night of the race will be priced at $15 for adults. Any fan wearing any Bailey's clothing (hat, shirts, etc.) will receive $1 off the admission price on race day.

Pit gates will open July 3 at 1:30 p.m. Practice for all divisions will be held from 3:15 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. Grandstand gates will open and qualifying time trials will get cranked up at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a fan appreciation segment at 7:15 p.m.
