NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Southeast Series, Grand Stocks added to SoBo's 2006 schedule
SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — South Boston Speedway officials announced the addition of two series to the impressive 19-event schedule planned for the 2006 campaign.
The NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Southeast Series will make another appearance at America's Hometown Track on Saturday, May 27. That event will also feature a 110-lap race for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Late Model Stock Car Division as well as 50-lap shootouts for the Pure Stock Division and the touring Allison Legacy Series.
In addition, speedway officials have announced that Grand Stock Division events have been added to the 2006 schedule on three dates. Grand Stock competition will be held at South Boston Speedway on April 29, June 17 and Aug. 19.
The NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Southeast Series won't be the only major touring series to visit the famed four-tenths mile oval in 2006. The USAR Hooters ProCup Series will, once again, make two visits to South Boston Speedway. In the upcoming season, the USAR Hooters ProCup Series will compete at America's Hometown Track on Saturday, April 1 and Saturday, Aug. 5.
Season tickets for the 2006 season at South Boston Speedway are already on sale. Season tickets, good for all events in 2006, are available for the value price of $150 per person. A season ticket pass for youth, ages 10-15, is available for the 2006 season at a cost of $99.
Tailgating spots are, once again, available for the 2006 racing season at South Boston Speedway. Spaces are available for the entire season or on a weekly basis.
The tailgating area will be open for cars and trucks. Grills and unlimited size coolers will be allowed in the tailgating area. Tailgating passes good for the entire season are priced at $285.
