NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Southeast Series drivers will invade SoBo on May 28

SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — When South Boston Speedway returns to action on Saturday, May 28, the drivers in the touring NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Southeast Series will be on hand for their third event of the campaign.

Jason Hogan will enter the race at the four-tenths mile South Boston Speedway as the point leader for the series. Hogan has claimed a second-place finish at Houston Motorsports Park in Texas and a third-place run at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in South Carolina to tally 335 points through the first two races of he year.

Justin Wakefield, who also has a pair of top-five runs to his credit thus far, is second in the title chase, just five points behind Hogan.

Justin Diercks, who claimed a victory at Houston, is third in the championship chase, while Greenville-Pickens winner Jeff Fultz is fourth in the standings.

In addition to the competition for the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Southeast Series on May 28, South Boston Speedway will also host races for the Barkhouser Late Model Stock Car Division, the Limited Sportsman Division and the touring Legends Series.

Peyton Sellers is atop the South Boston Speedway standings with five wins and the Danville, Va. driver also leads the way in the NASCAR Division I point standings for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series.

Drew Herring, a three-time winner this season at America's Hometown Track, is second in the track title chase, trailing Sellers by just 12 points. Jonathan Cash of Oxford is third in the Late Model point standings, 16 points ahead of a fourth-place tie between Brandon Butler and Scott Worley.

In the Limited Sportsman Division ranks, Jonathan Bailey owns a 22-point edge over Justin Snow in the battle for the track championship. Andrew Perry is in third place, 10 points ahead of a fourth-place tie between Brian Pembleton and Tommy Peregoy.
