About South Boston Speedway

South Boston SpeedwaySixty years! That’s a big number. For many, it means getting old. But as South Boston Speedway celebrates its 60th birthday this season, the historic Southside Virginia track is as fresh and accommodating and relevant as ever.

And did we mention fast and competitive and exciting.
All of the things that has made South Boston Speedway famous for many decades hold true today, maybe even more so.

With a fresh coat of asphalt, new grandstands, improved sound system and new scoreboard, it’s been a year of rebirth here at South Boston Speedway. Everyone has worked hard to make our track as comfortable, enjoyable and exciting for everyone involved, from competitors to fans to sponsors to the media.

For 60 years South Boston Speedway has worked to be the leader among NASCAR Whelen All-American Series tracks and with great fans and competitors, plus a tremendous staff, we believe we are among the best of the best in weekly racing.

The NASCAR-sanctioned track is coming off one of its biggest years ever behind an effort to make the racing more exciting for fans and more affordable for the teams. We expect that momentum to carry over into 2017 with packed grandstands and a crowded infield.

Why don’t you join us for the celebration and excitement that will be the 2017 season at South Boston Speedway? We have marketing plans to fit all budgets and needs, so give us a call or drop us an email today.

Most of all, though, thank you for helping make South Boston Speedway a success story that isn’t slowing down with age.

Warmest Regards,

Cathy Rice , General Manager
South Boston Speedway
